Further support from The Clothworkers' Foundation

We're delighted to announce that The Clothworkers' Foundation has generously awarded further funding for Anna Plowden/Clothworkers Foundation CPD grants in 2020.  Thanks to this support we will be able to award at least 50 CPD grants for practising conservators in 2020.

In 2019 57 conservators from 41 different institutions and private practices received grants enabling them to attend courses and conferences on subjects including the conservation of miniatures, Japanese paper, modern and contemporary materials, metals, canvas and wet organic material as well as 2 and 3D photography, weave analysis and much else.  Conservators attended conferences around the world, including Warsaw, Los Angeles, New Zealand, Stockholm, Tokyo, Salt Lake City and, of course, Belfast for Icon'19.

If you are a practising heritage conservator start planning your CPD for 2020 and apply to the Anna Plowden Trust for a grant.  Our deadlines for the year are:

January 20th
April 6th
June 8th
and September 14th

Don't forget that we need at least 6 weeks to consider your application, so you need to apply well in advance of the conference or course you want to attend.  You can download the application form here.
