Applying to us

This section of the website gives you more information about the grants that the Anna Plowden Trust awards and the projects and activities that are eligible for our funding.

At present we have three main programmes:

Conservation Training Bursaries:  We support the primary training of students who are studying conservation of the moveable heritage (e.g. paintings, books, ceramics) on recognised UK conservation courses.  We do not support those who are training in building conservation.

CPD Grants:  We offer grants support for CPD opportunities for conservators in the private sector by awarding grants towards the cost of short courses and of attending conferences. Conservation students and interns are not eligible to apply for CPD grants and we do not offer these grants for courses related to building conservation.

Award for Research and Innovation in Conservation: a prize awarded as part of the Conservation Awards organised by Icon. Applications are invited for the 2015 Award, for more information follow this link.

The 2016 deadline for CPD grant applications are: January 12th, March 1st, May 6th and September 15th.

The next deadline for Conservation Training Bursary applications (for the 2016-17 academic year) is 6th May 2016.

There are more details of our grant programmes in each page of this section, there are also downloadable application forms for you to use.

Do look at our FAQs before applying as these should answer most of the questions you may have.
