Our Work

The Anna Plowden Trust exists to continue Anna's legacy - to raise standards in all areas of conservation work. We believe that this aim is still as vitally important as ever, particularly when public funds are under pressure.  We have now been in operation for fifteen years and have built a strong track record of support for the training and professional development of UK conservators:

The Trust is most grateful for funding received towards our grant-making programme from trusts and foundations including: The John Paul Getty Jnr Charitable TrustThe Dulverton Trust, and the Ernest Cook Trust.  We are also enormously grateful to the individuals and companies that have generously decided to support us.

Support Us

Our activities are funded entirely from donations and we welcome contributions to any of our programmes.  You can download a donation form here

Donations and Standing Orders

If you are interested in supporting heritage conservation training please complete the standing order form attached below. Donations are not used for running costs, which we keep to an absolute minumum, they will go directly into our grant-giving programmes.

A donation of £3,000 would enable us to give one Conservation Training Bursary, but if you want to give a smaller amount, just let us know that you want your donation to be used towards a bursary or, if you are one of our alumni, towards the Alumni Bursary and that is what we will do.

Alternatively, a donation £250 would enable us to give one CPD grant.

If you are a UK taxpayer you can Gift Aid your donation.  If you do this then a donation of £1 is worth £1.25 to the Anna Plowden Trust at no extra cost to you.  Download a Gift Aid form here.

Alumni Scholarship

If the Anna Plowden Trust's Scholarship support enabled you to train to become a conservator, why not support our Alumni Bursary? This bursary for new students is funded by those we have supported in the past and who know first hand what a struggle it can be to raise the money needed to train as a conservator.  If you would like to contribute to our Alumni Scholarship please download the form here.

Legacies

You could consider remembering the Anna Plowden Trust in your Will.  If you would like to leave a legacy to the Trust we would be enormously grateful.  These notes give you information on how to go about it and where to seek additional advice.

If you would like to discuss the various options for helping the Anna Plowden Trust we would be delighted to talk to you in confidence; contact us in the first instance via the Contact section of this website.
