International Council of Museums - Committee for Conservation (ICOM-CC) 17th Triennial Conference, Melbourne, 2014

“The 17th Triennial of ICOM-CC broadened my understanding textile conservation treatments used around the world. The presentations relating to ethnographic objects, leather, modern materials, natural history and preventive conservation were also very useful as I frequently deal with composite objects. During and after the conference I visited many conservation studios in Australia and Singapore. On my return I presented the information to my colleagues at Textile Conservation Ltd. and produced a review for the Centre for Textile Conservation blog. The whole experience was invaluable and hugely helpful to my current work and my future career development.”
