Examples of Past Support

In this section of the website we highlight some of the students who have received, or who are still receiving, a bursary or CPD grant from the Anna Plowden Trust.

The Trust supported 12 students in the 2013-14 academic year, studying the conservation of textiles, books, easel painting, furniture and stained glass as well as conservation for archaeology for museums and MAs in conservation. In 2014-15 the number of bursaries offered rose to 17 and in 2015-16 the trustees have been able to  increase the number of students to whom it offered funding to 19 who are going to be studying on 12 different courses across the UK. This in part represents the growing number of applicants as well as the high calibre of those who applied.

At the end of the academic year, every student is required to write a short report on the course they have taken, what they have achieved and what they plan to do next. The 2014-15 students are currently finishing their courses, after which they will write their reports for the Trust. It is these that are summarised on the website and which will be added as soon as they are received. To find out more about some of the students who have benefitted from our support use the links to the left of this page.

We are keen to keep in contact with our past grantees and,  in particular, to hear news of your developing career and any notable projects or successes. Do email us an update (and image) through this site so that we can feature your achievements in this section.
